Just a 10-minute walk from our inn lies Eboshiyama Park, home to one of Japan’s largest clusters of Edohigan cherry trees. Recognized as one of the “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan,” the view here is truly spectacular.

🌸 The “Sakura Relay”: A Journey Through Changing Spring

Spring in Akayu is not a single event, but a continuous celebration. The “Okitama Region” offers a relay of different blossoms that peak at different times:

1. Early April: The “Early-Blooming Mountain Sakura” at Yamagataza Takinami.

2. Mid-April: The famous “Thousand Cherry Trees” of Eboshiyama Park.

3. Late April: The “Ancient Trees” of the Okitama Sakura Corridor and delicate wild mountain cherry blossoms.

4. After the Sakura: The surrounding orchards burst into bloom with delicate white Cherry (Fruit) Blossoms.
