Donden-daira Snow Park

Located about a 25-minute drive from our inn,
how about enjoying a winter trip this year where you can feel like a kid again and play in the snow to your heart’s content?

The town of Iide, neighboring Nanyo City—home of Akayu Onsen—is one of the heaviest snowfall areas in the Tohoku region.

Instead of treating the snow as a nuisance, the idea was: “Let’s use the snow and have fun with it!”
This concept gave birth to Donden-daira Snow Park, where you can enjoy unique snow-country experiences.
The park will be open this winter from January 10 (Sat) to March 1 (Sun), 2026.

It’s a rare spot where you can experience snowmobile rides, thrilling banana boat tours, and a giant snow slide—activities you won’t find at typical ski resorts!
There are also snowshoe (Western-style kanjiki) experiences, strike-out games, and—for an additional fee—snowmobile forest courses.
